A domineering radio personality injures himself and becomes an unexpected houseguest in a suburban family’s home during Christmas. He swiftly takes control of the household, disrupting every life around him—from the mother and daughter to the household staff and a host of eccentric visitors. His presence fuels comedic chaos, sharp wit, and manipulation, all while revealing the absurd charm of uninvited commentary and the resilience of family grace.

The score was lost for many years. It was tracked down at the Library of Congress when book-writer and lyricist James Lipton was preparing the studio cast recording.
