A Broadway opening had been announced. The first announcement had it scheduled to open around October 17 at the Martin Beck. It was soon pushed back to October 30. Then it was announced that the production was being “indefinitely postponed,” which, as noted by Variety in a brief article on the postponement (in the issue dated October 18, 1972), “in most cases . . . means the end of the project.”
