Trivia & History

The production took a week off between the end of the Boston tryout run and the beginning of the Detroit run. This seems to have been planned from the beginning but it had the advantage of giving additional time for work on the show, which included rehearsing George D. Wallace to replace Dennis O'Keefe, and to give Carol Haney, who had been reworking the choreography during the Boston run, more time to work on the dance numbers.
