Trivia & History
Carol Burnett and Rock Hudson had toured in I Do! I Do! a year before this production. Gower Champion, director of the original production of the show, was directly involved in that earlier Burnett-Hudson tour, for which the original set design by Oliver Smith was employed, but Champion was not directly involved this time, although his basic staging does seem to have been recreated.
