This was a shortened version — essentially, just the introductory section or verse — of a much longer number in which Lycus not only introduced each courtesan but sang about her as well. (The Courtesans joined in at the end, singing a repeat of the introductory section.)
As listed in the playbill for the original Broadway production, the title seems to have referred to the entire sequence in which Lycus introduced the courtesans and each of them danced. Some of the dance music was based music from the longer version of the song.
