Based on the 1983 film of the same name and In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd.

Based on the classic 1983 movie, A Christmas Story: The Musical! invites you to follow the adventures and mishaps of 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get the Christmas present of his dreams – an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle.

Producers had planned to move the show to Broadway in 2010, but problems with the creative team and composer after the Kansas City run required more work.
