Heiress Ann Wainwright reconnects with past love Neil Forrester amid a swirl of parties and opportunists. Suave Nat McNally and lively Polly Tees complicate matters, while tycoon Mortimer Grimes and promoter Larry Hopkins angle for advantage. The company decamps to an island resort nicknamed “Treasure Island,” where schemes and flirtations multiply as Jack Wrigley and others sniff out the promise of hidden wealth. Through crossed purposes and comic misdirection, Ann and Neil navigate the scramble for “treasure” and find their way back to each other.
