Synopsis

Reverend Dr. Brock leads a moral campaign to shut down the Tenderloin, New York’s red-light district, clashing with corrupt politicians and wary allies. Young reporter Tommy Howatt, sent to expose him, becomes caught between admiration and duty, while Cora, a local woman tied to the district, complicates his resolve. As Brock presses forward, city bosses scheme to discredit him, leaving friendships strained and reputations at risk. The fight reveals the personal cost of reform in a city where politics, press, and morality collide.
