Radio idol the Lone Rider is begged by fans to prove his mettle by catching the outlaw Fernando. Swapping the studio for the open range, he lands at Mamie’s dude ranch, where mishaps mount with sidekicks Slim and Dinky and henchman Concho in the mix. Meanwhile, Pete and Shirley kindle a romance to the tune of “The World Is in My Arms.” A trumped-up “broadcast” turns the pursuit into a publicity circus before the Rider outwits Fernando in a final showdown. Identities and bravado fall away, the couples align, and the showman hero earns his legend.
