Trivia & History

This unproduced musical was mentioned in the press as being in the works for several years in the early 1960s. After not being mentioned for several years, in 1973 it was again announced as being in preparation for Broadway. It was mentioned that Alan Bates was being sought for the lead. A script at the Library for the Performing Arts in New York is said to be from 1972. The title on that script is The Singing Ghost.

Several possible book writers, including Ernest Kinoy, had been mentioned in the press during the 1960s, but the book for the script at the Library for the Performing Arts is by Comden and Green.

A complete song list is not available. Only the songs heard on the demo recording are listed.
