Originally released simultaneously on LP and on six 10-inch 78-rpm records.
Leslie Banks created the role of James Jarvis, but he is not on the recording in the bits of dialogue involving the character. Understudy Guy Spaull, who eventually took over the role, is heard as James Jarvis on the recording. He is also heard on the recording in his opening-night role as the Judge.
Recorded at a New York film studio of 20th Century-Fox.
