According to The Best Plays of 1971-1972, the character was named Nancy during Bonnie Franklin's absences from the role on Broadway. This was amended in The Best Plays of 1972-1973, where it was stated that "Except from 4/29/71 to 6/21/71, when the character was known as Nancy, the name of this part has always been the first name of the dancer playing it." This was still incorrect as the character was named Bonnie when Pam Zaret played the role for what turned out to be the last few weeks of the run.
