Theatre World for 1958-1959 lists Kay Cole as a replacement in this role during that season. That listing seems to be in error, as do a couple of other replacement listings on the page for this tour in that edition of Theatre World. For one thing, Kay Cole would have been too young at the time for the role of Alma Hix. It appears from the listing in the following season's Theatre World that the role she moved into when she outgrew the role of Amaryllis (which she played when the tour opened) was Gracie Shinn.
