The production played a nonstandard schedule for much of its run, often playing more than eight performances a week.
Linda Lavin played previews and opening night, but was replaced at the first performance after opening by Marcia Rodd. Lavin had been cast in It's a Bird…It's a Plane…It's Superman and she needed to be at rehearsals.
