Notes

Leon Janney's brief marriage to Jessica Pepper was on the skids very quickly. According to a New York Times article about their divorce, which appeared in the paper on August 5, 1936 (on page 15), property rights in the divorce had been settled in an agreement dated June 15. The divorce was granted on the grounds of cruelty, which Janney charged against Pepper.

Mr. Janney moved from a successful career as a child actor to a solid career as an adult actor.
