There are questions with regard to the exact song list for SITTING PRETTY. These deal mainly with the 'Opening Act Two', the original 'Opening Act One', and the rest of the unused and cut songs. To discuss these questions in any detail is well beyond the scope of this work. The song list indicated should be reasonably accurate.

The story may be an apocryphal one, but supposedly the title song was cut because the male star singing it had a slight speech impediment. His enunciation of the words 'sit and sit and sit' was not what P. G. Wodehouse had intended. In any event, no songs were cut because they were inferior or did not fit into the show, but rather to trim the show to a standard running time.
