Synopsis

Hustler Joe Bascom flees a stateside scrape to Mexico City and is hailed—by mistake—as a revolutionary hero. Trying to milk the misunderstanding while keeping out of jail, Joe crosses paths with nightclub headliner Montana and a tangle of officials, fixers, and true believers. As parades, bullrings, and backstage schemes swirl, Joe’s quick patter can’t keep pace with growing feelings for Montana or the chaos his “heroism” unleashes. When the truth explodes, he must choose between running another con and facing the consequences—love included.

Trivia & History

Three songs, intended for MEXICAN HAYRIDE, were titled and notes were made. These songs, however, were never written: 'I've Got the Bull by the Horns', 'Never You Mind', 'Oh, What a Night for Love'.
