Trivia & History

  • The CD lists Zena Dare, who played Mrs. Higgins in the production, as one of the singers in "With a Little Bit of Luck." We have not listed Mrs. Higgins here since this seems to make no sense (and she wasn't listed on the original LP issue). There was probably some confusion of Mrs. Higgins with Mrs. Hopkins, who does sing with the chorus in the latter part of the number, though she's not traditionally listed as one of the singers.
  • The CD issue has a partial cast list for the production in which Bob Chisholm is listed as Bartender. Chisholm is also listed in the booklet as one of the singers in "With a Little Bit of Luck," and he was also listed as one of the singers in that number on the LP issue. Normally, the Bartender does not sing the song with Doolittle, but Harry and Jamie join him. The CD cast list is, in fact, incorrect. Chisholm played several roles, one of which was Jamie.

The CD issue includes a bonus track of "The Embassy Waltz," conducted by Percy Faith, originally issued on the LP Percy Faith Plays Music from the Broadway Production My Fair Lady.
