Writers Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey were members of the ensemble of the Kingston Mines Theatre. In addition to writing the show, they were consultants to the director. Jacobs also designed the program cover.
Marilu Henner and James Canning later played the same roles in the Broadway production.
The band that accompanied the show was Sex Nellie, and Love led by Michael (Mike) Williams. The rest of the band was as follows:
