The tour was on hiatus from May 17, 1964, through August 2, 1964. The first part of the tour closed at the Playhouse in Wilmington, Delaware, on May 16, 1964. The tour reopened at the O'Keefe in Toronto (where the out-of-town tryout of the original production had opened in 1960) on August 3, 1964. It had been announced that the tour would reopen at the Biltmore in Los Angeles on July 13, 1964, but that did not happen.
