Trivia & History

At least two contemporary sources — the December 1952 issue of Theatre Arts magazine, which included the text of the national tour revision of the script and an article on the show, and the London Dispatch column on page 2 of the issue of Billboard magazine dated August 2, 1952 — stated that Joe E. Brown would be starring in this production, but instead Bobby Howes ended up starring as Ben Rumson.
